The bans/picks were first done by MYM and not Aeon (so it's given wrong in the picture above).
This was the one of the Quarter Final match of the DotaClub ProSeries #1. MYM goes for the currently popular '-armor' strategy while Aeon goes the nice old 'balanced' team strategy. :)
If we analyse the picks/bans of this replay, Aeon make sure MYM don't get heroes they're IMBA with (Angel with Storm spirit and Mania with Crixalis are too good), while MYM go their regular Tidehunter (Tide's ability to unbuff himself and hence pull up Ravage anytime is a counter to any strategy... if you plan not to pick him, better ban him. :| ), Dazzle (So opposition doesn't screw their -armor strategy), Dark Seer (I guess MYM just hate this guy) + an anonymous ban which was Abaddon in this game.
Aeon picked Sven at quite the right moment after the enemy carries, Slardar & Lanaya were picked so there was a less chance that someone would go diffusal blade as first item build (no purge == hurray for Sven). During the mid game MYM were basically all dagger 'surprise gank' team which could not stop Aeon pushes and eventually resulted in their defeat. What I mean by 'dagger team' is that MYM invested their gold in dagger which did not pay off due to a few failed ganks and their team not getting 'fat'.
Recommended game for Sven, Tiny.
Winner : Aeon
UTDC.Justin provides us with a good review of the match...
"Just watched game 2, KuroKy didn't play her (Lanaya) very well, sure he farmed up dagger in decent time but he never left mid or rune-ganked even after reaching 6. His items that game were questionable because of the way he plays, very unadapting. Treads would have given him a huge push in physical damage from the atk speed and 190 life is nothing to scoff at with all those packing stuns/nukes. Now, it's true that Desolator is the normal item, but in terms of damage he had it fine, no one on Sentinel was really exploding with armor until Sven's late late AC (which was a good choice in comparison). What he needed was the ability to do his damage and survive -> BKB here would have been a much better option - you saw how Sven and Slardar made use of theirs extremely well this game. Also, his ward placement is quite lacking...Grunt always puts one or two around the middle after first towers are down, wouldn't have led to KuroKy getting picked off in a silly manner late in the game.
I thought Mania played pretty well, showing off the recent buffs to Tiny's Toss very well despite getting very pressured from Puppey's roaming ES (who still managed Dagger at seemingly the right timing even though he was level 1 for about 8 minutes lol. Angel was always where he needed to be, ditto for NS. Amsi was a little disappointing, Amsi's PotM didn't add very much to battles and got picked off a lot more than we usually see. Pgg played a pretty aggressive Warlock and we saw some good Lanaya counter-play in the lane with the quick sentries. A bit of a pity we didn't get to see much of Upheaval but nevertheless he did a solid job throughout (including a really funny TA block later on).
Good early lane pressure by AEON, they sacrificed a lot to get those towers before they could be properly defended (before VS 6/Tiny 7-8), MYM erased the deficit with good midgame ganks. However, the late decisive battles were executed just slightly better by AEON, and MYM wasn't able to initiate in any of them to pick 1-2 off in time. Very solid game."
